This Little Cub did so well at his cake smash!
Sometimes, cake smashes are like a game of Russian Roulette. Will my child do well? Will he like cake? Will he be fussy?
It can be really stressful on a Mama Bear.Â
However
I find that with enough patience and a little bit of time, children come around during their shoots. I've shot a least a dozen of these (which are my fav. by the way) and I've only had 1 kiddo who wasn't a happy camper. What did you do? We just gave him a little bit of space and he came around.Â
Portraits are important to me, like they are to you of your little and I will do my darnedest to make that vision come to life, even if we spend a little more time than usual.Â
Another important note for cake smashes is to prepare the child beforehand by introducing the taste and texture of cakes/icing. Don't forget the sippy cup!
This was the first time that I use my new panel set and I am in love. I love being able to open up my home and shoot little ones. It definitely makes it easier to clean in a sink bath compared to a wipey bath!Â
